It is nice to pray for others. I love it. But sometimes, as Christians, it is better to be an answer to prayer.

Paul the apostle raised an offering in Corinth for the saints in Jerusalem – because they were suffering as a result of a famine.

Economically, it was hard for them, but their brothers and sisters in Christ rose up and stood with them. They were an answer to prayer.

Paul said in his letter, “This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’s people but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. Because of the service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for the obedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for your generosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. And in their prayers for you their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has given you. Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:12-15 NIV)”

Let’s be sensitive to the needs of those around us and act graciously, from the heart to meet those needs.

Have a great week! Remain strong in His grace.
